¡y también usamos esas cosas para hacer un lugar en que vivamos nosotros!

Workshop! Part 2: Building / Taller! - Parte 2: Construir

Primero hicimos cuadernos que llenamos con sellos de verduras, y después intentamos construir las cosas que habíamos dibujado, ¡aparecieron un montón de amigos vegetales!. Miho estuvo con nosotros traduciendo, ¡gracias Miho!
Los vegetales viven en el jardín ¿no?, hagamos un jardín para nuestros nuevos amigos entonces. Pero para tener un jardín primero hay que hacer una casa ¿no?...

First we made our own notebooks, which we filled with vegetable's stamps, after that we tried to build the things we had drawn and lots of vegetable friends appeared! Miho was with us translating, thanks Miho!
Vegetables grow in gardens, so let's build a garden for our new friends. But for having a garden first we need to build a house, right?...

Ya teníamos una ventana y una chimenea, pero una buena chimenea necesita humo... quemar algo no es una buena idea en una casa de papel, ¿qué tal unos globos?

We already had a window and a chimney, but any good chimney needs some smoke... burning something in a paper house doesn't seem like a good idea, but how about some balloons?











Cuando nuestras preciosas chicas ya se habían ido, pudimos ver los dibujos que habían hecho adentro de la casa...

Once our beautiful girls had left we could see the drawings they hade made on the inside...






Si miran de cerca, hay algunos fantasmas.

If you look close enough, you can see some are actually ghosts.

Workshop! / Taller!

El domingo pasado tuvimos nuestro primer taller. Fue acerca de dibujos y plantas: a lo mejor jugando con ellas podemos entender cómo funcionan y viven… Hicimos muchos dibujos, como por ejemplo el de esta sirena chiquita…

Last Sunday we held our first workshop. It was about drawing and plants, playing with them and perhaps understading how they work and live… We made many drawings, like for example one of a minature mermaid…

Y ya que las sirenas viven en el mar, ¿porque no pretender que el vidrio de la varanda es como el oceano? A lo mejor podemos hacer dibujos que floten en este espacio…

And since mermaids live in the sea, why not pretend that the glass panels in the veranda are like water? Perhaps we can make drawings that float in this space…



También hicimos dibujos de las hojas y de las raíces, y bailamos de contentos con Los Beatles (porque hicimos como que ellos eran el agua y nosotros las plantas). También estaba Wakako, que nos ayudó a comunicarnos con las chicas. Gracias Waka!

We also made drawings of leaves and roots, and we danced of happiness with The Beatles (since we pretended they were the water and we were the plants). Wakako was there as well, helping us to communicate. Thanks Waka!


NEXT SUNDAY 4/5: Building Workshop! at NOW IDeA, from 13:00 to 16:00. Everyone between ages 5 to 10 is welcome. You can email here (in japanese or english) if you'd like to participate.

Plants & Building Workshop!

メフンへは、アルゼンチンのアーティスト、メルセ デス・ヴィラルバとジュリアン・ガットのコラボレーションプロジェクト。ガーデニングやドローイング、詩を書いたり、木材や見つけたもので何かを作るのが 好きな二人。誰もが、機会を与えられさえすれば、解決策をひらめく事ができるはず、との思いをもっています。現在、アーティストレジデンスで東京に滞在 中。NOW IDeA by UTRECHTにて、展示「Totemo」を開催しています。

●植物とお絵描きの日　3月29日（土）13:00～16:00
このワークショップでは、植物を 観察し、違いや似ている部分を見つけてゆきます。あなたが植物になるとしたら、どれがいい？海の底では、植物はどんなかっこうをしていますか？色々考え て、あたらしい植物をうみだし、私たちだけの植物の世界を作り出しましょう！植物の植え方も覚えます。（鉢植えから育て方まで）
また、お絵描きしたり、コスチュームを作ってダンスもしますよ！


●ものづくりと発明の日　4月5日（土）13:00～16:00
このワークショップでは、見慣れ たものを使って、みんなでものづくりをします。ものづくりは、ちょっとしたコツを学ぶ事で、とても簡単にできます。時には、重力のちからにまかせること で、のりやくぎすらいらないことだってあるのです！みんなで、どれだけたくさんものを倒さないように積めるかためしてみましょう。

ワークショップに参加するお子様には、スケッチブックが支給されます。絵、コラージュ、ひらめき、葉っぱ、草など、何でも挟んでお持ち帰りください！

Mejunje is the collaborative project of Argentine artists Mercedes Villalba and Julian Gatto. They like gardening, drawing, writing poetry and building things with wood and other found objects, because they believe that anyone can come up with creative solutions if they are given the chance. They are currently visiting Tokyo for an artist residency and have a show called Totemo in Now IDeA.

Plants and Drawing Day — 3/29 from 13:00 to 16:00
This workshop is about observing plants and trying to discover the differences between them, their similarities… Also, what plant would you be if you where a plant?, How do think plants look under the sea?... Let's make our own kingdom of plants and invent new species!
We'll learn how to make our own plants (pot them, plant them and propagate them), and we'll also draw, make customes and dance.

Building and Invention Day— 4/5 from 13:00 to 16:00
Art & Building day is for making things all together, using everyday things. Building is not that difficult and there's a few simple tricks to learn. Sometimes, you don't even need glue or nails to build something, gravity holds everything together! Let's find out how many things we can pile up before the fall down…

During the workshops each child will be provided with their own sketchbook to fill with drawings, collages, ideas, plant leaves, grass to take home.

For children from 5 to 10 years old.
Price per class (per child): ¥2500

The class wil be of 10 children maxium, so please make your reservation beforehand at futoshi@utrecht.jp

A Translator will be joining us too.
Workshops can de attended independently.

THE WORKSHOP IS DONE OUTDOORS AND WILL BE SUSPENDED IN CASE OF RAIN OR VERY BAD WEATHER.
